yokan College offers programs for practicing therapists and psychologists who wish to continue or extend their study into specialized fields, earning certificates and/or credit for California State Approved Continuing Education Units. These programs utilize real time synchronous chat rooms, asynchronous discussion boards and email exchanges with instructors and other participants. The programs are NOT correspondent courses, but are fully involved, interactive, collaborative learning experiences that maximize the participation of those who enroll.
Professional Consultation Groups
Primarily constructed to provide exchange of practical experiences, participants form private groups to discuss different approaches and enhance the learning process of their professions. A low monthly membership fee provides access after you fill out an application detailing the type/level of professional group you choose.
Post Graduation Programs
Enroll in an area of psychological study that will enhance your career, narrow your focus and provide certification. These programs can last from 3 months to 2 years depending upon your choice of involvement.
Continuing Education Units
Individual courses set to satisfy licensing requirements based upon your interests for short term study.
